IU South Bend Chancellor
As a result of Susan Elrod's upcoming retirement as chancellor of Indiana University South Bend, a search committee has been created to help identify the campus’ next chancellor under the guidance of IU’s 19th President, Pamela Whitten.
The chancellor exercises broad responsibilities for all aspects of the academic, student, financial, development, and administrative dimensions of the campus, in coordination with university administration and the other regional IU campuses. IU South Bend seeks an energetic, dynamic individual to lead and engage its faculty, staff, students, and community in what promises to be an exciting era for the institution and community.
As the oldest and largest regional campus, IU South Bend’s mission is focused on regional impact, partnership, and transformation. The IU South Bend campus has grown to approximately 4,500 students, offering nearly 100 degree programs, six varsity sports teams playing in the Chicagoland Conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), campus housing, and more than 230 full-time faculty members. Graduates earn an Indiana University degree, which is respected worldwide.
